If you are reading this letter, knowing the need for balance in life is probably not a new concept for you. Understanding that caring for your mind, body, and soul are essential to living your best life is something you likely understand quite well. You would not be on a wellness website if you weren’t already on a wellness journey or at least ready to begin one. The first thing I would like to tell you is that I do not have it figured out. I will never have it figured out. There is a reason it is called a wellness journey and not a wellness destination. Life will continually throw us curve balls and finding balance will be a constant endeavor. The good news is that you can enjoy the journey with the right tools in your tool belt. That is not to say the journey will always be easy, but you can find an inner peace that will give you strength to keep moving forward.
I started Foundation Mindset because I believe that there are tiny little things we can do that will help us feel healthier from the inside out. As a recovering perfectionist, I can tell you that a list of rules to follow for optimal health will not work. You do not have to stay in a place of shame for every “bad” habit you may have. That will not work because shame is a terrible motivator. Instead, start healthy habit stacking things that are good for your mind, body, and soul and focus on those. The best news is that you only need a few solid tools to build a foundation that will last.

Foundation Mindset began with immersive wellness retreats designed to help women step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with themselves. Through partnerships with like-minded companies, we hosted unique experiences that combined education, relaxation, and play—often set in beautiful natural settings with island glamping accommodations. Guests spent their days learning, moving, and growing, then unwound under the stars in cozy glamping spaces that encouraged true rest. Those retreats were created to give women the space to unplug, rediscover joy, and strengthen the personal foundations they carry back into everyday life.
As Foundation Mindset has grown, so has the vision.
Today, that same heart for intentional wellness is evolving into in-person workshops in Bartow—creating opportunities for women to gather more regularly, learn practical tools, and build supportive community closer to home. While the setting may look different, the mission remains the same: helping women strengthen their foundations through thoughtful conversations, education, movement, and meaningful connection.
These workshops bring the spirit of the retreats into a more accessible format—still rooted in encouragement, growth, and a little bit of fun. Because building a strong foundation for wellness doesn’t have to happen far away. Sometimes it starts right where we are, with the right people, the right perspective, and a willingness to grow.
